Description Suggest change

Probably the hardest of the three routes on the right of Franklin Falls. The top occasionally forms into a freestanding pillar. Upper anchors allow for a 30m rappel from above the pillar.  When the pillar is not in, there is a bolted anchor on a ledge to the right (behind a bush, not visible from below) below the overhanging wall.  Gear will change with conditions- there are 10 bolts but bring screws if you're expecting much ice. An extra long runner will allow you to clip the lower anchors if the freestanding pillar is climbable. It is also possible to set up a top rope by heading back up the trail and circling above the routes.  Rappel from one of the trees next to the stump with a big piece of metal on it down to the bolted anchors below.

Location Suggest change

Middle route on right side of Franklin Falls.

Protection Suggest change

Ice screws and/or bolts. 10 bolts. A couple single length slings maybe handy.
