Description

The crux is the pull off of the starting hold for the flakes.

Location

This route is in the middle of the north face on this boulder and starts with your hands matched on a rather juggy hold with a heel hook. Reach up and a little to the right to gain a flake and a ledge. Then move your body into position, reach for the top, and use a flake over the lip to top this fun sucker out!

Protection

A pad would be nice but is not necessary.

This is not an FA. This rock has been climbed for 40 years, it's right off the trail, and the FA is likely Steve Mammen. It's fine to add a problem, although you really shouldn't name it. I'm not trying to be a jerk, but the history of the area needs to be respected, and you can count on everything at an area as popular and established as Carter Lake to have been climbed, even if it's not in guidebooks or on this site.
