Begin on 2 obvious holds 7 feet off the ground. Campus to a crimp out right then to blocky hold, or campus directly up to the blocky hold. Fairly relaxed top out on jugs. Feet are minimal for the first few moves.

From the parking lot past the gate, follow the trail across the river, and head uphill about 200 yards.

Alternatively, follow the trail until you see obvious boulders on your left hand side. There exists a fainter climbers trail near the boulders. Back track along this trail until you see Building Blocks on your right.

Pad and spotter. Multiple pads to stack if you are shorter than 5'7".

This problem is a mile away from the Citadel Crag. It's at The Acres. Do the work and add the whole area if you want to post this problem, don't just be lazy and throw it in a nearby area. Sep 22, 2009

I guess I was misinformed, laziness was not my objective....Admin, delete this route, I don't know enough about Vedauwoo to do the Acres area justice. Eldofiend seems to be knowledgeable. Sep 23, 2009
I'm pretty sure that technically this is posted right. The Acres is really just an outlying area of the Citadel Crag, and seeing how the description and directions are pretty much spot on, there's really no need to delete the route. Sep 23, 2009

I have to call BS. The Acres is really not an outlying area of Citadel Crag. Both Plumb Line Crag and Worm Drive are closer, but it doesn't belong in either of those areas either.

I agree that if the the whole area is called "The Citadel" which includes Plumb Line, Worm Drive, The Acres, Citadel Crag, and the Short Wall, but saying that Building Blocks belongs in The Acres is like saying Analog belongs under Walt's Wall - same area (central) totally different subarea.

Mike - if you want to add The Acres as a separate area that would be sweet. I'd do it but I really don't know enough to do it justice. Sep 23, 2009
Fair enough.... Sep 23, 2009
Hey Mike, this was the first problem I ever put up at the Voo, and technically The Acres would be a sub area of The Citadel and you know the Voo is technical...: ) As far as grade, that is a hard one many folks start this from a pad, I would say that it felt V5/6 for me from the ground with no pad, but then again if you are a total campus mang I am sure you can do laps up and down this, rate it how you see fit.
