Dirt roads reopened as of June 2014 Details

Description

Aretsky is a slab route with good crystals for feet right where you need them.

Location

This is a bolted slab on the southeast face, just left of Slotsky (chimney).

Protection

2 bolts, no anchors.

Photos

A friend of mine just replaced the bolts just a few days ago. The old bolts were pulled, and the holes were bored out to 3/8" and reused.

I led the route for the first time last night. I recommend climbing it at night by headlamp, so you can't see how far you'll far you'll fall, or the ledge you'll hit if you peel off almost anywhere on the route. The moves are very fun but best led by a very confident leader. Aug 3, 2016

The 2 bolts on this climb are old and questionable (very loose SMC hangers, rivet/buttonheads without anything to tighten). I wouldn't recommend it before a hardware upgrade, but the climbing is fun for the length/style. Aug 3, 2015
