A cruise at the beginning (5.7ish) and thought provoking near the top for a 5.9. Good fun. Oct 8, 2017

Did this again today. My memory was of going straight up over the bolt at the top. Today went right slightly and then stepped back left. My rating, 9d. Great route on superb rock. Apr 1, 2016

Mathew, Chris, and Russ are spot on with the crux being stiff and thought provoking for 5.9, but the remainder of the line being much easier and not sustained.
Edit...yeah Eric you're sense that Mon Cherie is 5.9d seems about right. Oct 11, 2015

Not sustained, but fairly sequential (for 5.9) crux with cool moves - fun. Sep 5, 2013
5.6 all the way to the top. one 5.9 move up there. Great rock, not much fun if you are looking for a 9! Apr 15, 2013

Extremely well protected - even for a sport route. But good sequential moves towards the top which are more technical than the routes on Hoogie - actually had to stop and think. Mar 17, 2013

While doing the moves up near the top, I thought it was 50/50 that I might pitch off this thing. Seemed pretty hard to me. May 13, 2012

Did not find this route feeling stiff as MF mentioned, on the contrary it felt very similar to it's neighbors on Hoodgie Wall; 5.8 at best. Whatever the grade, it's nice climbing, well protected and definitely worth doing. May 12, 2012

Except for a few moves near the top, this route is pretty soft for 5.9. Great route however. May 14, 2008

One of the few routes that I have climbed in the Alabama Hills that felt stiff for the grade. Mar 24, 2008
