Murf the chopper is reinvigorated... we almost had a chopping party last night. This could be a big year for bolt liberation. Oct 11, 2014

"Murf's is old news he hasn't chopped anything in years".

The good old days. I miss them. I feel bad for Murf. Dude lost his chopping MoJo. Oct 9, 2014

Actually Ben is correct, I was tapering when this photo was taken, but not for climbing. I was in training for a qualifying competition for the beer Olympics! In the early phases of training I had been getting in A LOT of volume (of beer).

My last few weeks of hard training I transitioned from high volume to high intensity power phase. I cut back on the volume, but tried to drink all my beers as fast as possible through a beer bong.

After that I entered the "taper" period that you guys are discussing, and is shown here. For a couple weeks before the event I cut the volume back significantly and tried to drink all beers at a nice relaxed pace (hence the hammock). The last two days I did nothing but rest and avoid beer. By time the event took place I was lean, mean, and thirsty!!! Jan 28, 2014
