Does anyone have any experience with the UnParallel Regulus? I’m a long-time user of the LS Solutions (I wear a size 41 in the women’s version, if you also have experience on sizing). I’m leaning towards getting another pair of the ol’ faithfuls, but a [somewhat] less expensive pair of shoes does sound appealing, especially as I prefer stiff shoes.
I saw a post asking something similar in April, but only one person responded. Anyone here owned both by now?
I’m a 40.5 mens solution 40 mens solution comp and wear a 9 in the regulus. The shoes fit very different to me though. Narrow, soft sticky heel on the regulus and very round toe profile. Also the regulus has a lot of volume in the mid foot compared to the solution.
Echoing the wide forefoot thing on the Regulus. I bought a pair in a size consistent with my Five Ten size and while length was OK the width was ridiculous for a performance shoe model. I was tempted to get a low volume version but then said enough already, and switched over to Sportiva. I think it's great that UP is taking over the Five Ten line up (Five Ten's redesign of their shoes was unsuccessful IMO) but it's not worth the hassle to send things back and forth when I can try on an actual shoe in town.
Thank you, Peter and JD! I have a very narrow foot, so the wide mid- and forefoot is probably a no-go for me. Too bad they’re so difficult to find in person, otherwise I would at least try on their low-volume model, as I really like their version of the Mocc.
Tried Regulus and same issue with other two guys - too much room for me. Went with Regulus LV and very happy with it. I never owned solition but tried it on (women’s). I think either same size as my Regulus LV or half size bigger.
