Areas not showing up on app but show up on a pc.

Eric Internicola wrote: Sick! They're in there now. Thank you! I added a couple sub-areas to the Camp 70 Boulders last week and they are not showing up. Is it normal for that to take a few days? I see them on the computer but not the app. |

The data packs for the app get built once/week, and the app will only check for updates once/week. So in the worst case, it takes 2 weeks for the app to update, even if you update the data pack manually. But we probably have a bigger issue... this last build was just a patch to fix missing areas. New areas that you just added might not show up on the map correctly. It's going to take a few months to fix the app correctly. |

is this still a problem? A few of my friends and I are also having this problem with trad and boulder routes |

Alan Atkins wrote: Seems to still be problem. I posted a Boulder-only area and it seems to not appear on the app’s search bar or map. If you click into the state and filter routes you can find it, though. Odd. |

Yes, nothing new has shown up on the app for a long time. Nick Wilder commented above that they are working on fixing the issue. |
|
I am currently experiencing the same problem where I can't see my added route on the app. Any progress on the fix? Or does it take some time to upload a route to the app? |
|
Mac, Alan, and co. - would you mind sending or posting links to the areas or routes that you added or that are on the site but not in the app? Examples are really helpful for us to trace where the issue is happening. Sorry for the annoyance and time it's taken. Also repeating what Nick said above, deleting and reinstalling the app is the best way to make sure you have the most recent data pack and, hopefully, the fewest bugs. Newly-uploaded content can take a couple weeks to show up and if it's a lot longer than that, could be bug-related. |

Zander Göpfert wrote: The new area I added shows up in the website but not the app. Here is a new area that I added that currently has one boulder called Oven Mitts. https://www.mountainproject.com/area/120826610/sunset-boulder The Oven Mitts boulder also doesn't show up on the app when I search it. https://www.mountainproject.com/route/120826623/oven-mitts |

Thanks, Mac. Sunset Boulder and Oven Mitts were both approved yesterday so they should be updated to the app at the end of this week, either automatically or with a manual update (Manage Areas > Edit > delete > re-download OR delete > reinstall app). Let me know if you don't see them after this coming weekend. |

Zander Göpfert wrote: Okay sounds good . I'll check the app next week. Thank you for the quick response. |

Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge doesn't show up on the app anymore at all and it used to at least about two years ago. |
|
Now all of Colorado disappeared.... |
|
Christopher - if you haven't already, please delete and reinstall the app to make sure you have the latest version. If that doesn't help, please send along what device you're using and a little more detail about the issue. |

Zander Göpfert wrote: Hey Zander. Just want to update you on what is going on. I asked earlier in the thread about an area not showing up on MP and I was just waiting for the app database to update. Now the area and boulder are on the app but only when I manually find them through the parent area (Oregon->Willamette Valley->Marys Peak->Sunset Boulder). Both the area(Sunset Boulder) and the climb in that area(Oven Mitts) don't show up when I search for them separately on the app. Is there anything you can do to solve this? |
|
Hey Mac, thanks for following up on this. I'm sorry it hasn't been resolved. I just confirmed what you described. Let me check in with some folks and get back to you. |
|
Just heard back and confirmed that this was resolved with the latest build 4.5.0 for iOS. Let me know if you run into issues with updating. |

Is there some way to find Central Park (NYC) on the app? |
