So my question is where are all these granite routes going up?

Hahaha have you people never seen the Sierra Nevada?

You could put up another 100,000 routes there.

That's certainly true, but he lives in SLC and so do I... Lots of granite here :)

I've been thinking of building a platform like this at the base of a crag I'm developing. Anyone else dovetail slabs together to make a belay niche?

It's not particularly cheap, I threw down about $400 for the tool, two batts, and charger. The brushless motor is a game changer. It's worth the $ to me as I have more uses for it than just placing climbing bolts.

How many amp hours are getting you 40+ holes, that’s damn impressive. I can get 8 or so for every 2ah. What year is yours?

3 Months old. 6.3 Ah. Brushless motor.

I've used both, and IMO this drill hits harder, drills faster, and lasts longer than the older 36v Annihilator.

Yah but carrying 4x the weight (on lead) and getting 6 holes per battery with the OG NiCad Bulldogs and Annihilators built so much more character.

Lithium batteries are making everyone soft . . . Both the FA party and folks who climb all these safely bolted routes.  We used to have to skip good clipping stances because we didn’t know how many more holes the drill would do.

The 18v Bosch Bulldog Looks a lot like the old brushed Milwaukee 18v 7/8” just a different color. Certainly gets more holes.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
