Map not working

The map is not working the last couple days. I am seeing

Hi Tyler, which phone do you have?  It sounds like your database might be corrupt.  Please try:

1. go to Settings (meaning Android, not Mountain Project)
2. find Apps & notifications or App Manager
3. find Mountain Project
4. tap Storage
5. tap Clear Data

This will clear your downloaded areas, and forget your account.  Now, launch Mountain Project and check if the problem is resolved.

If it's still broken, it could be a bad system update.  In that case, you should get another update soon when they realize what happened.

I have this same issue on my iPhone 6.

Late to this post, but had same problem (search gave no results and using the map function on an area gave the same error message as shown above). I fixed it by deleting the app, reinstalling and re-downloading every area, on ios. The problem started occurring after switching to a new phone and restoring from the iTunes backup. ios 13.0, Mountain Project 4.2.1 (ios).
