Is Neptune Mountaineering going out of business?

Hey Chris,

Thanks for your thoughts about Gary's museum. Shelley and Andrew, the couple who are planning to buy the shop, are very committed to having the museum a central focus of Neptune's 3.0. They began talking to Gary before they even made their initial inquiries to Backwoods and, in fact, would have been unlikely to have wanted to go forward without it.

Stay tuned. The museum will be back.

Climb safe,
Mal

I finally had an opportunity to revisit Neptune again today, and all things considered, it is starting to look like the old shop again. There was climbing gear on the wall and museum pieces on display. I had the opportunity to meet Shelly, who was out working the floor of the shop asking folks like me if we needed help, such an awesome change. She was awesome and took the time to chat with me about the shop and her plans for its future. I am very pleased and impressed. Keep up the good work Shelly and Andrew and viva Gary’s museum!

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
