Best alpine climbing gloves for *very* cold hands?
|

My fingers go numb easily (Raynaud's) so I'm looking for quality alpine gloves that protect from wind help deal with the cold without losing too much dexterity and grip. What do you use? I'm looking at the CAMP USA G Air Glove or Air Core, but there are lots of options and it's hard to know what will work until you try. |

Subscribed. After a hand injury many years ago, my hands don't much like the cold now... |

Just bite the bullet and get heated gloves if you have reynauds. |

I don't think most heated gloves enable much dexterity, but I could be wrong. |

Heated gloves and fully functional fingers equals more dexterity than svelter gloves and numb fingers. |

I have large hands and find it very difficult to find gloves that fit comfortably. I also have poor circulation in my hands from multiple injuries related to working with my hands for a lifetime. Regardless, I like to start with disposable hand warmers in wrist bands that heat up the blood vessels on the inside of my wrist. |

How many grades off your max climbing ability are you sacrificing? Do you want glove recommendations specifically, or are you trying to solve the Raynaud's problem more generally? Addressing the Raynaud's certainly involves gloves at some point, but as the post above about hand warmers points out, many solutions are available. |
