Attaching Inreach to harness

I got an Inreach Mini 2 and I'm thinking I will attach it to my haul loop when climbing multipitch. The tiny biner that it comes with looks sketchy and I do not trust it not to fall off my harness, but I don't think even the smallest locking biner will fit through the loop on the Inreach. Any obvious solutions I'm not thinking of? 

A 4kn locking accessory biner works great and weighs half as much as the biner it comes with.

swap it out with something a little stronger even if it's not a rated carabiner.  I keep my mini on the back of my harness all the time.  have never had a problem

There's a lanyard loop. Tie some cord through it and clip any carabiner you want. Double up the cord and tie a knot if you're worried about it.

I have the in reach messenger with even fewer direct options. 

I bought a walkie talkie holster. Messenger gets tethered to the holster and clipped in with a wrist lanyard.  The holster is then connected on a mini locker to my harness.

Camp Ekto lock is a lot cheaper, but the manufacturing quality definitely demonstrates why it's cheaper.

I looked up my carabiner - it's a Kong Mini D Screw which is a nice middle size.

Has anyone tried the arete brand comparable biners from HowNot2? 

haven't seen those before look like about the right size, and I don't think hownot2 sells anything that's complete junk.

I believe I’m also correct in saying Arete is the inhouse brand from HowNot2 owned by Ryan Jenks. Their cordage is some of the best for price I’ve found on the market currently

Thanks, all! I ordered the CAMP Ekto locker. If that doesn't work out, I'll try some of the other options you suggested. 

I don't know if my hands can operate such a small biner on my back without dropping the Inreach though. I might need to secure it with the lanyard loop...

I use an Edelrid 19g

I swapped the default carabiner out for a Metolius FS Mini II. Small, cheap, rated, and solid.

Mine is on a nano 22 but same-same.  I have the explorer+ so slightly heavier but  honestly the stock crab is pretty bomber, I used it for 2 years no problems. Recently switched it out.

I like these little 4KN accessory carabiner for knives, v-thread tools, and other minor uses.  I wouldn't use them for life supporting measures, but could be handy in a dire emergency.  Avialable in locking and non-locking.
