Hey everybody, just a heads up – every response I’ve had to this ad so far has turned out to be a scam. Common features: they respond to my personal email, not via private message. Not sure how they are getting my email. Second, they always want to use a very jangly sequence to achieve payment, and usually it’s through another party whose email doesn’t match their usernames on any payment services.

Secondly, Venmo customer service is virtually useless. I’ve tried to pursue getting something sorted out after eventually falling for one of these that looked the most legit, and I think I’m hosed.

How many scam emails did you get in two days?

Seems WTB on this site is infested with scumbags.

Not a bot or scam lol.

Only a couple, but they were pretty convincing. Going straight to my personal email should have been a solid clue.

Wouldn't be surprised if there's someone running bots to scour the for sale forum to automate scamming
