Where to Hook?

Want to practice some hooking before a trip out west to do some big walls. I mostly climb at DL but unsure if its cool to hook there. Anyone have any ideas?

Practice hooking at DL less an issue then anywhere else in Midwest I would think.  The rock is bullet hard.

Holy shit what a clusterfuck of a thread Garrett

Sure seems like a reasonable dose of discretion is all that's needed to go practice some hooking at the lake

Some of the replys are missing. The person who did the clean aid ascent of Cheap Thrills seems to be off MP now. He's an old friend and was giving those guys a good wind up. Funny stuff. Doug's replys are amazing too

Feel free to go to the Quarry on the East bluff, or to some obscure part of Adelman's gorge, or an even more obscure part of DL to practice if you are in doubt.  No need to hook your way up Flakes if you have worries, or Tony, Doug, Nick or anyone else on the old thread should want to rise back up for the entertainment value (I was in fact, entertained) for us all.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
