Metolius Waldo! Super comfy. Better than the Misty Mountain Cadillac or Titan, of whicfh I own both as well. I own the pretzel adjama as well, it's OK but it would suck on a wall.
I would recommend against the Long Haul. I've had two in less than a year and the belay loops start to fray immediately, I think it's something to do with the infinity belay loop. BD warrantied one that lasted about 15 pitches and the replacement lasted a whole summer. Two friends of mine have had the exact same issue. I have a Wild Country Syncro in the mail that I'm excited about.
Old thread, but just chiming in to add to the above note on the Black Diamond Long Haul. I bought one in May of 2025, used it for only about 20ish days of development/bolting and nothing else over the course of a year. 1 belay loop (It has these newer infinity(?) style loops) began to unravel this week when about 2 inches of stitching came undone and the other belay loop was frayed in several places. I noticed while taking my gri gri off after an evening of bolting. There were no "incidents" or any odd uses or situations, just normal bolting/hanging/jugging/etc. Warranty in process. I've decided, obviously, that I won't just take a replacement, if that's what they offer, and to instead try a different big wall harness. This is my first piece of BD gear to have any sort of concerning issue in 20 years of climbing. Disappointed.
Weird about the Long Haul issues …. I’ve had mine for about a year and a half, climbed a bunch here in Colorado last summer & the Gunks in the fall, Norway and Italy in July, Joshua Tree all winter and spring, Yosemite and City of Rocks last month and a bunch of chimneys and offwidths back here in Colorado this past month. No issues at all although the leg loops are starting to look a bit worn from all the offwidth and chimneying. Perhaps there was a bad batch that came out since I got mine. Love Black Diamond products for the most part but quality issues have been on the rise….. bummer

Yeah, a brief bit of looking around on the internet indicates that this isn't a big widespread issue or we'd be hearing about it more. The small comment above was the only other similar experience I saw. BD Warranty has the harness now and is taking a look at it. Curious what they will say about it. They shipped me a new one, but I was hoping to get a refund instead. I should have mentioned that in my first message to them I guess... I had already bought a different harness to use.
