Hi! My name is Jules (they/she) and I am 28yrs old. I moved to Albuquerque from the Midwest in March & shortly after, I had the privilege of meeting my closest friend here off of the Stone Age Gym partner board. He taught me trad climbing and multipitch techniques. I fell in love with this discipline of climbing.

Unfortunately, he had to move back to Indiana last week and so I no longer have someone to go adventure climbing with. Before he moved though, he spent 2 months teaching me. I've done ~3 multi pitch climbs, led a handful of single pitch trad routes and have led 4 pitches total on a multi on between "Revenge of the Elderly" and "The Ramp". I can top-down belay from trees, slung boulders with tat and of course, bolted anchors. I don't have a trad rack yet and cant afford one at this time, but I am hoping to find someone who is willing to continue helping me learn. I've been mostly climbing 5.7s in the Sandias but I lead 12s in the gym so I'm confident I can climb 8's and probably 9s on trad- especially as I get more proficient identifying what size pro I need for cracks.

All I ask is that you have more experience than me in trad/ multi and prioritize safety & risk management. I am so eager to do climb more lines in the Sandias and hopefully in other parts of New Mexico. Please let me know if you are interested or know someone who might be.

You can contact me at 614-937-9658 or through Facebook- here is a duplicate post I made on Albuquerque Climbers Facebook group
