Still gathering facts, little in media. I heard it from gym and family friends who did not have any details. and have talked to some locals. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1CU6YbSBjU/ Tom Coe, lawyer and well-liked climber from Bainbridge Island. Very sad for us all. Everything I know now is 3rd hand.. But it may have been a mishap while transitioning from TRS to rappel. There should be something official; a first responder was on the scene. Do you have a source? How did you learn this? Thank you. |

The American Alpine Institute had one line about it yesterday, so news is trickling out but no details. This is such a loss for our little Bainbridge climbing community. |

Tom was a rad old dad crusher. Super sad news for the index family. My condolences to his friends and family. |

Oh no! I haven't seen Tom in years, but we did some routes on Washington Pass back in the early 90's. Great guy and partner. I am so sorry. Condolences to his family and friends. |

Really sad news. I use to run in to Tom a fair bit back in the 90's and early 2000's around Washington. He helped a couple of my dirtbag friends out with legal issues back in the day. Tom was good dude. |

Tom was a fixture in the community for sure. Master Coe will be dearly missed. |
