Below is a video (and a few screenshots) of a challenging crack pitch I was fortunate enough to make the first ascent of in early October 2025. It is among the most unique climbing features I have seen. The route was complicated to work on due to  its overhanging and traversing nature.

The crux second pitch is 120 feet in length. It begins 50 feet up with a roof crack and then pulls into a severely overhanging dihedral. Due to its steepness, this section climbs more similar to a roof crack than a corner. The climbing overall is physical and sustained. The upper crack eases in difficulty, but contains a couple of wide sections that require attention.

I hope folks will enjoy.

Very cool, Jon!  Where in the Dacks is this? (Assuming it is the ADKs?!)

Very cool short!  I was there with Peter helping with the filming and photography on the first ascent.  Beautiful chunk of stone.

This series has actually been pretty good. The overall process for Connor as I understand has also been pretty awesome. Sends his route in Squamish, then proceeds to crush the world's hardest gear routes after having already done a good handful (Magic Line, Meltdown, etc.), all to confirm that his line is truly the hardest.

I have such an aromantic crush on Lor Sabourin. I love their approach to thinking about hard climbing. "You can't shame yourself into having more capacity" is so good.

I also have such a crush on Insomnia Canyon. I really hope to get there some day.

Beauty of a line and climbing. The Salvo/Herson connection is a fun one, too.

What's the over/under for what grade Connor has to climb to actually look like he's trying at max effort, though?  When he is on, everything looks so effortless.

Herson kind of has an athletic Frodo of a look about him, don't you think? Like if Frodo were a climbing Elf or something...

Its a pure pleasure getting to see him carrying the torch!

Well, he could try and repeat ie Silence. Pretty sure that would max him out.

Kinda like me on the pink route in the corner....
