I remember Deucy using Ti.  Will you stick with aluminum to keep costs reasonable, or do you have access to affordable Ti?

Can't wait to see the product either way.

I don’t think Ti ledges were ever commercially available were they? He just built one for trango.

I’d be curious to know what the weight difference between the two is but I feel like for the cost and the manufacturing difficulty, I bet Al just makes more sense.

although Ti excels at corrosion resistance.

Any chance you will be selling the haul bags for them separately?

From his Instagram account in the years before his decease, I got the impression that he was using Ti quite a bit.  Could be wrong though.

Last time I priced Ti tubing, it was sold by the inch!

What are some features or design elements you all want to see?
what are currently available ledges lacking?

I'm curious to see if my ideas are shared by others.

A BD ledge that I used had pockets in the separator. I found that handy.

That is definitely in the plan.
I’ll be using a new stretchy mesh material

Sewing in a 1L Nalgene bottle holder on the fins would also be awesome, I’m always fishing around when I wake up thirsty at night

Hypothetically speaking if I wanted my ledge to come with some Tim Curry Rocky Horror Picture Show mesh stockings made of this material how much extra would that cost? Asking for a friend

I have a Barry-made ledge. I found on the two walls I dragged it up (and down) that the bag kind of sucked. Tight fit for the ledge and no way to carry it easily. My partner and I carried it and one haulbag down Walter's Wiggles trail after climbing Moonlight in Zion. I had to rig a really uncomfortable shoulder strap from some slings. Even a sewn-on duffle style handle would have been great, and would also make it easier to throw in and out of a vehicle. Andy K. has some interesting ledge bag ideas in his book (I think). Would love to see what you can come up with. I'm psyched that you are taking this on as a part of your business.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
