Hey! Im from the UK and live in Squamish, Canada. Im looking at flying down to EPC for a couple of weeks in March on a last minute trip.
Does anyone here have experience in mexico at that time? Is it decent conditions for climbing usually?
I'd be travelling solo, so would also be looking for a partner out there at any point in those dates. I can bring all my kit, and would be looking to get on anything from 5.10 to 5.12. Ideally would like to take a look at El Sendero or TWZ.
I've been to EPC 2x for spring break in early March back in '22 & '23. There were hot days where it was in the 30s but you can either climb early in the morning or find shade. Night climbing is also an option. I was with my son but it wasn't hard to make friends & connect with other groups or solo climbers while I was there. I think I saw an EPC Facebook group out there as well. Good luck!

Hey Tom - I have been down here for a couple weeks and plan on staying through March. I have several partners coming throughout March, but happy to link up. I was here last year in March and there was actually a cold snap for a few days that we were all regretting not bringing more layers. Locals have told me that March is typically about the same weather as Feb but with less crowds. It's desert climate, so expect big swings day-to-day and probably some hot days. I copy Jeremy's comment on chasing shade. I've done long multis in 90-100F degrees here - just find shade, bring extra water, don't drink too many margaritas the night before and you'll be all good. I'm also planning on trying at least a couple Sendero pitches and doing TWZ later in March. Sendero is shady and maybe just do some of TWZ at night
