Poincenot?

Looks like somewhere in Patagucci.

Aguja Poincenot?

Norm Larson · · Wilson, Wy. · Joined Jan 2008 · Points: 75

I’ll say Pollone

Flex · · Flagstaff, AZ · Joined Apr 2007 · Points: 1,025

You guys are all warm, but it’s not Poincenot or Pollone

Flex · · Flagstaff, AZ · Joined Apr 2007 · Points: 1,025

Just to be clear, those guesses were super close and it is in the Chalten Massif

Aguja Mermoz?

In the Torre or Fitzroy group?  Give us a hint!

Flex · · Flagstaff, AZ · Joined Apr 2007 · Points: 1,025

Not Mermoz but it is in the Fitzroy group

is that taken from the shoulder of de l'S? if so I think it's either Saint-Exupery or Rafael Juarez. I'll guess Juarez!

Flex · · Flagstaff, AZ · Joined Apr 2007 · Points: 1,025

You are correct where it was taken from but the left most tower isn’t Rafael (that’s dead center in the middle)

Punta Cristina?  Kinda sits in front of Saint Exupéry I guess (based on Rolo's guidebook)...

Flex · · Flagstaff, AZ · Joined Apr 2007 · Points: 1,025

Not Cristina. The peak directly behind and to the right is La Silla, and then Fitzroy with the rime on it.

Several topo overlays later on pataclimb I believe I can correctly say: Desmochada S Face

Flex · · Flagstaff, AZ · Joined Apr 2007 · Points: 1,025

Yes! Finally, I knew someone could figure it out. Aguja Desmochada may be diminutive in comparison to it’s neighbors but it’s still a world class, bad ass tower that deserves more attention.

You’re up Sam

Something a little more obscure but has a Wikipedia page and multiple AAJ articles so not that bad. Also, these are labeled in caltopo. Either peak at the end of the valley.

I'll give folks a hint... we're in the Himalaya.

Fair enough. These two are in India, not too high: under 6500m. I posted another one in an earlier NTM thread that was from the same region.

Not Muztagh, these are in the Himalaya proper, not the Karakoram.

This is in Zanskar, both peaks have the same name, numbers differentiate them.

Not Kamet, the Zanskar Valley is quite a bit further NW from there.

This is shot from the road between the towns of Kargil and Padum.

Not Z3 but that is very close.

Any more guesses?

Maybe a better hint or two. It’s a worthy picture. But Saying in the Himalaya doesn’t narrow it down much Sam.

Muztagh tower down at the end of the valley?

Kamet?

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
