SULLIVAN, Mo. — More than a dozen first responders from the Sullivan Fire Protection District and the Steelville Fire District worked together to rescue a seriously injured rock climber over the weekend in Sullivan.

According to a spokesperson for the Sullivan Fire Protection District, firefighters used specialized training and equipment to conduct an operation that resulted in the successful rescue of the rock climber from a river bluff.
