Micro is more versatile. Nano grabs on ropes so it is annoying for things like trs. I have a nano for my tag line, but that is its only real use case for me.
Micro if you’re asking. The nano is an excellent alternative for a tibloc that can be used as a PCP in a pinch, but if you want a PCP you’ll be happier with a micro.
I think the Nanotraction has a very narrow best use bracket. I use it as part of an ultralight haul kit, but for my leg hauling re-direct not the hauling pulley. It also works well with an XSRE for a LRS cache loop manager. I believe people use it for crevasse rescue. It has a lot more friction with most carabiners due to its shape, so it's not great for TRS, or simulclimbing. It's tiny pulley and extra friction make it not that great for hauling. If you are asking then most likely you want a microtraction....or two.
Application: for redirecting rope for mechanical advantage. Uses: light haul system top pulley. Redirected line ascending system. Top rope solo capture device. Squirrel launcher.
