I have lots of niggling injuries and want a personal trainer to improve my recovery. Any good recommendations? I am interested in full body fitness with lots of focus on healthy legs and shoulders. Doesn’t have to be climbing specific, but that would be a bonus.
I have started seeing Dr. Christine Neal at The Climb Clinic in Golden. Great communication, knowledgable, focus on injury recovery, prevention, performance. Highly recommended.
I would highly recommend Four Horsman fitness. Matt is not a climber, but he’s a great strength and fitness coach and works in small groups and customize the workouts for you. He’s very attentive to injuries. I believe his address is Wheat Ridge, but he is right on the edge of golden.
I’d check out Shape Plus in DTC/Greenwood Village and Jess Hogue. They’re really good at building full-body strength while working around those nagging injuries instead of flaring them up.
Not strictly climbing-specific, but very movement-focused and solid with legs and shoulders. If you want to get stronger and feel better without constantly being beat up, they’re definitely worth a look.
