Bishop: Engineering/Science/GIS/Landscape/Management Jobs

Caltrans district 9 is looking for civil engineers (and other professionals) to work on their transportation network (based in Bishop, district 9 encompasses Inyo, Mono, and Eastern Kern counties.)

There are multiple spots available. New hires choose to work either in design, construction or some blend of the two (depending on preference of the applicant).

Everyone from recent-grads to experienced PEs are all encouraged to apply. New employees are thoroughly trained in the specific requisite skills for the job.

Caltrans is a wonderful place to work and staffed by many friendly climbers, anglers, birders, skiers and bikers, (to name a few common pastimes enjoyed here).

If I were young and single I’d be all over that. I’d like to retire in bishop but my wife wouldn’t want to live there. Too remote for her.
