Government Shutdown 2025

Was the Scenic Drive open today? The BLM site only says,

"Government Shutdown: Because of the federal government shutdown, blm.gov is not being updated and the agency will not be able to respond to inquiries until appropriations are enacted"

The Gate, Visitor Center, campground, bathrooms etc. will all remain open through the shutdown. They emailed the commercial permit holders and all BLM volunteers this information today. 

So I will be around for a couple months. Should I look into becoming a BLM volunteer to help keep it open? If so, how would I do that? Can't climb everyday!!

called Friends of RR and they said "business as usual" so timed entry reservations etc are still required for 8am+
