Does anyone have experience with the Climbing Technology Tuner I adjustable lanyard? I'm currently using a Camp Swing (with a smaller than factory rope), but would like something that's easier to adjust both under load and when unloadred. The updated Petzl lanyard looks better than before, but not that good. I'd love to hear from anyone with actual experience with the Climbing Technology lanyard, specifically how difficult it is to adjust, one handed, both under load and when unloaded.  Thanks!

I have one and prefer it to the connect adjust, which I used for a couple years prior. It's a bit easier to lengthen and shorten than the CA. I am mostly climbing vert to overhung single pitch sport and I will typically pull on a draw/hold with one hand to slightly unweight the device, twist the mechanism with the other hand, and then sink down on the device to lengthen it. If you have most of your weight on your feet (vert/slab) you could probably do this with just the hand on the mechanism. I'm not sure any adjustable lanyard will let you do true fully-loaded one-handed lengthening (i.e. hanging in space). None that I've tried, at least.

I haven't used the CT Tuner, but Edelrid Switch Adjust can be released even when free hanging. I don't remember if it can be done with just one hand if you are free hanging, but if I have my feet on the wall even if just smearing, I can definitely release the Switch Adjust with one hand. Paradoxically, if you aren't hanging on the Switch Adjust, it is much harder to length it with one hand. It's possible, but quite tricky.

Put some edelrid swift 8.9 eco (NOT protect) in your swing and you'll probably be very happy with it. I can mail you 10' of it or however much you want for your lanyard for $15 if you like.

Works really, really well.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
