I feel so fortunate to share a birthday with this man. I only ran into him on the East Bluff twice when I was a teenager trying to impress the old heads at the Lake. I found the confidence with which he clmbed that slippery ass quartzite so inspiring.

Another year is almost up and I still think about ya.  Group trips to Nip, you were always dressed in all black to climb ice, and were slower than molasses to leave the hotel room in the am ;)
