No but I’m going to White Mountain Peak for the first time next month! This mountain is about a half-day drive from White Mountain Peak, and you would cross a state line to get there.

Wheeler Peak in Great Basin?

Hints —

Wayyy closer to White Mountain Peak than GBNP’s Wheeler Peak (which I’m also planning on going to for the first time!). If you were standing on top of the previous mountain I posted, this one would be prominent on the eastern skyline. I’ve got some more hints but I’ll leave it here for now.

Is it Mount Jefferson?  That would be the one to the east of Arc Dome.

(Noone else was answering or I wouldn't answer this soon)

A memorable night with my (then) ten year old daughter.  Someone else in our group took this photo; mine didn't turn out quite as well.

A few countries away from there.

Think much closer in the equator.

I wasn't expecting this one to be too hard since it's a famous volcano.  Next clue:  Central America

Edit...

Momotombo?

The aptly named Volcan de Fuego.
The people in the photo appeared to be wearing warm clothing, so I went north with my previous guess.

Correct.  Volcán de Fuego (volcano of fire) as viewed from Acatenango.  Since Acatenango is over 13,000 feet and usually breezy, it's cool enough to bundle up a little at night.

Name the mountain:

Black Velvet isn’t the name of the peak.

Not in Zion.

It has the look of Zion NP, but that’s as far as I can get.

I thought Whiskey Peak is the peak that Frogland tops out on.

This one should be pretty easy.

The tall, snow covered peak on the right, as viewed from my kayak.

I thought Whiskey was the buttress-like area on the left (east) of BV wall where Frogland is located? I guess Summitpost and Google Maps have it wrong. In any case, I don't have anything to post for now anyway, so I'll try to guess the next one instead!
