Tall men’s climbing pant?

Need some beta for a good general cragging pant for tall guys- 36” inseam (maybe a bit longer). Suggestions?

I recently got a pair of the Ocun Mania pants and they're great. I'm 6'3” and thin so I can never find pants that fit at the waist and are long enough but the Large size fits me perfectly.

I also bought a pair of their Eco Mania pants but the sizing is different. I had to get a Medium to fit my waist so they're shorter. The fabric on the Eco feels thinner so they're probably less durable too.

I wear a 32" waist and 36" inseam. I have found Kuhl pants fit me the best. I think it is the revolvr line that I tend to climb in quite a bit. I also have a pair of BD pants that are fine but a touch short at the ankle. I recently got a pair of Rungne pants and have been very happy with the durability and fit with the size large. They are a bit loose at the waist but once I am in a harness they are good to go.

Prana pants are very comfy, but wide cracks and trad climbing have trashed mine. They fit great on my long legs.

Prana has been the only company who consistently over the years as shown an interest in making good climbing pants for folks who eat less bon bons and climb more.  They even make and keep in stock 28-36 if that is what you need. Their classic Zion pant is lightweight, breathable and can take a beating.

Arcteryx makes talls.  Palisade pant is lighter for summer.  Gamma LT is slightly heavier - possibly best pant ever made for life in mountains.  Med Tall is 32x35.

Wrangler ATG pants are the longest 34" inseam you'll ever find

I’ve always thought about just buying two pairs and sewing them together

Carharts

I appreciate all the beta so far. With an inseam of at least 36", almost none of the major manufacturers have ever had a pant that fits me (Patagonia, especially). And while Carhartts are a standard in my closet, they just don't have great movement...and they sure as hell don't last as long as they used to.

Keep the experiences and recommendations coming...

My new favorite pants are the Mammut Runbold IV pants.  At 6'2" the reg length fits me perfect. Mammut says reg is 32.5" inseam and long is 35.6". Waist is true to size versus other brands I have to size down.

Slim fitting but not tight, and fabric stretches well. Thinner fabric than the Gamma LT, but slightly thicker than my Ferrosis.  And not loose like my Ferrosis, which I like but they're too loose.

Agree, Patagonia inseam and sleeves typically don't seem to fit if you're tall and thin.

How do you measure inseam? ( honest question)

I am 6‘ 4“ and have worn the side sends (no longer available) then the simul alpines( no longer available)

i know have the terravia’s and they all have a long enough inseam

they may be listed as long not regular…

expensive but they have a good warranty in my experience

36” waist is what I wear

as I don’t my “inseam length” as I have never measured it the pants do fit well

and are durable

i will measure the length of the leg of the pants and post up

32” inseam on the Patagonia terravia

look into Eddie Bauer. They have sales all the time, and offer Tall on many styles. Not sure your fabric preference for cragging, but they have natural and synthetic options, most all feature stretch and /or features built for mobility.

I measure inseam in the manner photographed- center seam at the crotch to the end of the pantleg. I'm also 6' 4", and have had pants with inseams ranging from 36" - 40" over the years, depending on the manufacturer. Patagonia and BD pants fit me like man-pris.

Cotton or a cotton/nylon/spandex blend is preferred. They need to be reasonably tough and have good movement. Will check out Eddie Bauer.

I've switched to the Ketl Mountain Shenanigan pants after like 15 years of Prana Brions. They last longer and have a real lifetime warranty! I think they only go up to a 34 or so inseam though..

I bought a couple pair of the Mammut's in long sizes.  They are nice and light, but they don't have integrated belts.  One has belt loops and adjustable side velcro, the other no belt at all.  I prefer the Arcteryx pants.  Arcteryx long is pretty long - they spec it at 35", but the gamma lt fits like a 36 in other brands.  Also, I like my Kuhl 32x36 Rogue Revolver (our something like that).  I climb at the gym in those sometimes.  They are my standard street pant.  A few models of the Kuhl pants come in 36.

Some brands do not skimp on length

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
