From the depths of gear storage hell comes three whack Big Wall inventions, prototypes and one offs. Representing three different barrier breakers in the big wall space... lol!
If you're into this stuff you've got a problem... This stuff is both priceless and worthless, I'm looking for something in the middle. ***None of the pictured sleeping pads, slings or carabiners are included.
Firstly and sadly, I found this A5 TeeBone and had the pleasure of chatting with the creator himself, John Middendorf shortly before he passed away and he sent me a .pdf of the catalog. The short story alone is worth it's weight in gold. If you want this for your S&M collection, I’m thinking $250/shipped OBO.
Next up is the super simple version of the above A5 hammock, lighter, smaller and most likely even less comfortable!
The Pika Hammock version of the Taco Portaledge system... If backaches and poor sleep are your thing, I’m thinking $125/shipped OBO. Comes with matching yellow stuff sack (forgot to snap a pic).
Lastly is the one off, prototype single point suspension bivy bag/hammock. The working name for this product was the
"Nut Sack", as in the old
Mountain Hardwear logo was a Nut (see second pic). It used the waterproof, welded, single point clip in from Metolius and has clear windows so you can check the weather and arm holes for cooking etc. lots of adjustable suspension points to get tangled in when you're pinned down in a storm at 49,000'! If all this sounds good to you, I’m thinking $225/shipped OBO.
