Pointy rock shoes

Hi. Just looking at sportiva solutions comp. Are there any other super pointy shoes. If possible not too asymmetrical . Thanks

Some of the Tenaya shoes have a very pointed toe. Good in pockets. Oasi, Iati, Tarifa, and a few of the newer models.

Sportiva Katanas. Best for me for pockets and thin cracks.

I am not sure what some other people in this thread are on about, but there are much pointier shoes than the solution out there. 

The undisputed kings of pointy shoes are EB out of france. Shoes like the Balboa, Jarvis and Black Opium are absurdly pointy, but quite asymmetric. I also think it is interesting that the point on these is more centered, rather than right along the inside edge like many other shoes. Being in the UK you should be able to find a dealer.

 From Scarpa, the Chimera and Boositc R are quite pointy, but again quite asymmetric. The Insinct Lace is similarly pointy to the solution Comp. 

The Boreal Ace is probably the least asymmetric pointy shoe out there, but it also has the point more centered on the toe box. 

From Unparallel, the UP Pivot is pointy and pretty symmetrical. 

As someone else mentioned, the Tenaya Indalo and Tarifa are pretty pointy, but i’m not sure if it’s much more than the solution. 

I don’t know if any of these will be what you are looking for, but I thought I would get them all out there. Good luck on the hunt!

katana velco - not asymmetrical, and incredibly pointy, but not in a beaky-downturned-pocket-hooking way.

Another vote for katanas. They are moderate downturn and asymmetry Id say, but have more of a point that many others. Additionally, they aren't as tall in the toebox as many aggressive shoes so they jam and fit it small pockets very well.

Interesting to note about Katanas - the men's and women's versions have some substantial differences. The women's are split sole (men's soles are one piece) and the women's are a stickier rubber (Grip 2 on the women's vs. Edge on the men's). I tried both men's and women's versions and liked the women's better for thin cracks. The thin toe profile just slices into a .4/.5 crack like butter.
