Hey everyone!
I’m working with the Morgan County Heritage Museum on a new exhibit about the recreational history of Morgan County. The exhibit is called “Life Along the Emory,” and we’re highlighting the outdoor recreational culture in our area-and we need your help!
What we’re looking for:
-Printed trail/rout maps or descriptions of your favorite hikes, backpacking, climbing, paddling, and biking routes (all routes, distances, and difficulties welcome)
-Photos of hikers, backpackers, climbers, paddlers, fishing in action (any era, any location in Morgan County)
-Quotes or short stories from YOU, local adventurers, about what makes the outdoors in Morgan County special, memorable trips, or the thrill/challenge of exploring these activities.
If you have photos, trail notes, or a story to share, please comment below, DM me, or email derek.mcghs@gmail.com.
We’ll credit all contributors in the exhibit. This is a great way to help preserve and celebrate our outdoor recreation community’s legacy!
Thank you so much-can’t wait to see what you have!
(If you know someone who’s done any of this in Morgan County, please tag them!)
