Hey! I'm Lisa, 30, living in an LA and I'm looking for consistent partners for alpine trad climbing and/or backcountry skiing in the Eastern Sierras.

I'm mostly interested in covering a lot of ground in medium technical climbing/skiing terrain (think ~5.7 and long tours). As an ultra runner, I'm a fan of looong days and overnight adventures with the goal to get high up to enjoy the grandest views. Having a good time and a beer afterwards are key too.

My experience:

  • Climbing: leading trad ~5.8, and took courses in self-rescue and multipitch. I'm still rather new to multipitch so I want to step it out bit by bit but I'm very committed to climb multipitch routes all over the Sierras!
  • Backcountry skiing: AIARE1, 30+ days backcountry. I skied Whitney, Pyramid Peak and a bunch around Mammoth Crest.
  • Mountaineering: 6 day course. Did Shasta and various multiday snow treks around the Sierras.

My climbing wish list for now:

5.7:
Temple Crag - Venusian blind
Matthes Crest - Traverse
Whitney - East Face/Buttress
Mt Sill - Swiss Arete
Bear Creek Spire - North Arete
Crystal Crag - North Arete
Matterhorn Peak - North Arete

5.5 to dial down our system:
Lone Pine Peak - North Ridge
Bear Creek Spire - Northeast Ridge
Tenaya Peak - Northwest Buttress

If you're interested in partnering up, let's climb or hop on a call to see if we're a fit and hopefully head to the Sierras after!

Hey Lisa,

I think we have some similar goals in the Sierras. II'm not much of a skier, but Ive climbed Shasta, Sill, Crystal Crag, Tenaya, Laurel Mountain, Emerson and some longish routes in Red Rock. On my to do list are Whitney, Matthes, Cathedral Peak, Royal Arches, Bear Creek Spire, The Backbone, Conness and Charlotte Dome. I have wilderness passes for a couple of these this year. Take a look at my tick list and PM me if you want to chat more.
