There was a major search and rescue operation at the Town Walls area of Index yesterday afternoon (4/26). Does anyone have information? https://x.com/SnoRegionalFire/status/1916363152205271417

We had just finished Davis-Holland and were starting up the linkup of Loving Arms and heard a single scream and what sounded like rockfall from around the corner. About 30 minutes later we saw the ambulances drive up the road, and about an hour after that SAR was at the base of the route heading towards the sounds heard earlier. Witnessed the rescue but unsure of what exactly happened. Pretty confident rock fall was involved based on the sounds we heard but it’s possible it was something else. Was relieved to see the climber survived and was transported out but I don’t know the condition they were in.

Unfortunately this was different accident in the same week. OP is talking about a heli rescue from the base of Upper Town Wall yesterday. Really rough week for Index climbers, hope everyone makes a full recovery.

From what I can tell, the second incident happened at The Wart.
