Hello Climbing Community,

I’m reaching out with a heartfelt request to honor and support someone many of us know and love—Wes Warwick.

Born July 23, 1935, Wes is 89 years young and continues to defy the limits of age with the same boldness and spirit he’s brought to every crag, canyon, and trail he’s explored. From soloing routes at Big Rock in his earlier days to self-belaying in his senior years, Wes has never stopped climbing—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Whether he’s capturing the soul of the Southwest through his camera lens or recounting his journeys on his YouTube channel ( youtube.com/@off-trailsouthweston1778), Wes has long inspired us to live with curiosity, courage, and joy.

He’s climbed across the U.S. and Europe, and even in his 70s, he made the incredible trek to Everest Base Camp. His adventurous spirit has never faded—it only continues to shine brighter.

As of April 10, 2025, life has thrown a crux at Wes. He’s currently in the hospital facing a serious health challenge, and right now, what he needs most is our collective love and encouragement. If Wes has ever inspired you, shared a story, taught you something, or simply made you smile, please take a moment to share a memory, a message, a photo, or just a word of support.

Wes has always shown up for others—mentoring underprivileged youth, encouraging fellow climbers, and embodying the true heart of our community. Now is our chance to show up for him.

Let’s lift him up with the same passion and positivity he’s given us all.

With gratitude and hope,

Carmen & Ian
