I’m just curious about how much snow is left in the Adirondacks. Specifically the southern/ Indian lake regions, but also wondering about the whole park in general.
Pretty sure it'll be at least another week for southern adk and a couple more for indian lake. But that's from reports from others (non-climbers) that live up there. I was up near Caroga 2-3 weeks ago and there was still 2'.
Weeks late, but certain crags are definitely climbable. At least The Web, Pitchoff, and Deadwater have all been climbed this year in some capacity. Since I live kind of far and don't want to waste my day on wet rock, my trick lately has been to go to mountain project page for the most popular climb at a crag and checking the ticks, if there's been one already this year then it's probably dry at least sometimes!
Just climbed at Eagle Falls yesterday and there were plenty of dry climbs interspersed with wet ones.
