Can someone in the USA buy mail order from Arc'teryx in Canada?
|

So I live in Oklahoma, USA......and found a jacket , the "Squamish Wind Jacket" , only available online from the Canadian Arc'teryx store......i was told I can't order from there and have it shipped to my USA address, crossing country lines. Anyone have any experience or comments about this issue? Thanks! |

The annexation of Canada will solve your problem. |

Weird, I own a Squamish jacket from Arc and definitely bought it in the US...last year. |

John Rwrote: This is not uncommon for certain outlets and online sales. If they say they will not sell to you and ship to the US, the only workaround is to have someone in Canada receive it and forward the package on. |

Terry Ewrote: There's a whole cottage industry of companies that provide international parcel forwarding services for online shoppers. Here are two that will provide you with a Canadian address and forward the parcel to the US: shipbymail.com, reship.com. I'm sure you could find more. Just be aware that thanks to he-who-shall-not-be-named, even small-value shipments from Canada may now be subject to onerous US customs duties. |

Alex Stypwrote: They're doing this with a lot of their jackets. For some reason their selection the US is much more limited and they've been doing this since before the tariffs so I don't think it's related to that. |

Apparel brand mfgs who do both wholesale and retail typically agree to price protection for their big wholesale customers, like for example REI. Typically they can't undersell those big customers in the big customer's market. If the brand won't agree to those restrictions, they won't be able to sell anything to REI. If they get caught doing it, they could get onerous chargebacks for "lost sales'. |
