TRS set up micro trax and Ropeman 4 ascender 1 rope

I previously top rope soloed with two micro trax and a single static rope. I liked the set up and was wondering if anyone has any experiences using a micro trax and a wild country ropeman 4 ascender with a single rope. How it compares with previous models and the micro trax? 

I have a Ropeman 4 I use with a trax (though usually on two fixed lines). It feeds aaaaaaallllmost as nicely as the trax, but not quite. Occasionally have to tend the slack when there isn’t much rope weight below yet.
