Looking for a mountaineering partner/mentor in central Oregon...

Long time outdoorsman, hiker, "peakbagger", fisherman, etc. and have always wanted to get into more technical mountaineering (not necessarily crazy climbs, just harder than a trail to the top). As circumstances have made it, I have never had time to get the gear or get out and try it, until now. I don't think winter is at all the traditional time to mountaineer in the PNW, let alone learn how to do it, but it is the time I have. As much as I love to embrace the suck, I don't think going out in the mountains (in the winter) alone is a good idea, so if anyone would like to climb with me please let me know.  I will be home in (central) Oregon from December 14 - February 4. The mountains I figured could be doable were any of the cascades between Jefferson and Diamond Peak, but I imagine there are some easier objectives that build up to these also in the area.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
