I’m planning to spend several weeks climbing and camping at Cochise this Christmas and would love to pull a small group together. My dates are Dec 22 - Jan 11. Post a comment if you’ll be in the area.

I'll be heading down to Cochise after Christmas, probably arrive Dec 28th or so. I'd be stoked to join a group.

I might be down there! Is Cochise generally a place that's hard to find climbing partners at?

I am considering Cochise for NYE as well! Committed people wanna get at it (not a sitting around party)? Anyone know how cold it will be?

I'm going to be able to get to Cochise around the 22nd after all. Anya, if the weather is looking good, I'll definitely be climbing (and camping) NYE. Historic weather is highs of 60, lows of 30, and the long-range forecast predicts warmer than average. However, it might snow.

It’s looking good for me to get down there also around the 22nd. Camping for the week.

I'm here through spring if I can find partners. I've climbed here for years; mostly new routing. Anyone who likes a bit of adventure should definitely contact me

I can get there on the 28th or 29th to stay a full week. I'll have my dog and overland offroad truck.

How about a WhatsApp chat group?

Thank you all for posting here and for private messages! I've been traveling a bit over the last few weeks so just catching up.

For those who would like to camp/climb together, I propose we start on the west side. I'll be driving from Albuquerque and will arrive the afternoon of Dec 22nd at the latest.

I'll be in a red 2004 Toyota Tacoma with a red topper and will park at the Sheepshead parking lot near these coordinates: 31.857142, -110.001124. If there isn't room there for a small group, I'll find another spot close by and post the new GPS coordinates here.

West side sounds good. I have an orange Tacoma with a grey topper. See you all there!

Why do you want a chat group?

Just my .02, WhatsApp seems to get messages in and out better in spotty service areas.
and it’s easier to weed out the weirdos
