Propriety of Promoting Products

What is the MP policy on gear manufacturers' speaking of their own products, linking to their webstore, etc?  As a long-time climber and now gear manufacturer, I'd like to be able to talk about my products without breaking any forum rules.  Some forums forbid this, or charge a subscription fee to be able to promote gear.

I will gladly abide by any policies MP has in place, if directed to them.
