Couldn’t someone just make a new post titled: “POLL: who is king troll, trevor or tradi?” And then make a reply for each name, and whichever gets more likes wins? Bump it once a while, maybe with deliberation below it with some highpoint moments for each etc.

I think people come here for a variety of reasons and that largely dictates your experience. Some come to learn or help, some come to shoot the shit after 2 or 13 beers, some come to network with others or talk route info.

I gave up a long time ago trying to understand the "why" of other people.  I realized I can either care, or not care.  Like this, do I care?  or not?  I've discovered there are a lot of others like me... Still, I want to keep my community real, and that means I'm open to everyone.  And when things get a little boring, I read boring posts and respond.  Regardless of who they came from.

The funny thing about ignoring users is that as soon as someone quotes them, the ignore function doesn't work so basically it's a useless waste of time. I know because I once tried to block a user that went by Bearbreeder

I think MP provided him with a link back to the climbing glory days. On here, he was a wise elder wo had climbed the routes on many newbie to-do lists. He was also able to immediately analyze an accident because he had climbed that route. From what I gather, he compiled a lot of adult responsibilities, such as kids and a job as a teacher. I think many of us can relate to that changing phase of life.

He chimed in without snark or troll-ness sometimes. But he also was wildly hypocritical.
He would blast folks when they would ask similar questions to when he was a gumby and posting beginner questions as one example of his, we'll call it style.

Never knew what Tradi you would get.

But the Kids definitely seemed to soften the rhetoric. The kids climbing thread he started was just great. Was an awesome place to see the good humans behind the user names.

I can’t see that devolving into chaos at all. Theoretically that would work though, yes. Every other forum platform though has threads that are created with polls that calculate the percentage of each vote in real time. This way you could have chaos in the comments and a calculated percentage of who is winning. It could also be use for the “where should I move” and “where should I go for spring break” threads.

I don’t recall much about tradi. When he is brought  to my attention all I recall was pathetic trolling.

You guys never called his hotline? If you did, you'd know he's worth more than troll status. Sometimes worth pizza and beer. That's much better than troll...
