Alberta Fires
|
|
FYI if you are planning a trip north, lots of fires are burning in Alberta/BC right now. The town of Jasper is looking like it might burn today or tomorrow, and its been evacuated for a few days now as well as Jasper Nat'l park is closed (the Ice Fields Parkway is also closed north of Saskatchewan crossing). There is another fire just south of Golden and threatening towns there as well. The air quality is probs pretty bad in many zones depending on the wind of the day. Good luck Jasper, that little town is an awesome place, and I really hope it makes it through. Today will be telling on what happens. |

Damn that is terrible. I was just there last week, man was it hot but no fires then and certainly wasn’t expecting this. |

Horrible news. Hard to believe, though I objectively know that it is true. |

My heart goes out to everyone affected by this. Absolutely horrific. |

Jasper may have burned down but it’s totally ok, climate change is a hoax! /s |
