BD Eldorado- Question for people who have used the tent/ Sulfur smell

Have a question about the BD Eldorado. I have one, used it once, and packed it away bone dry. A week later it overwhelmingly smells of sulfur. I went over it to try and find something growing on it and found nothing. I washed it in Mirazyme, and the scent faded for about a day. Then it came back. It is especially bad if it is in the sun/warm. I bought the tent from BD directly and filed a warranty claim. Their response has been.... less than helpful. They had me ship them the tent. They're now telling me they looked it over and there is no cause for concern. They say it's a normal smell for Todtexx Fabric. I've talked to a few people who use these in the cascades and have not heard or smelled anything similar. It smells like a sulfur hot spring. Has anyone had an issue with an overwhelming sulfur smell from a new Todtex tent? Any info would be helpful.

I have one I bought in 2005, when it was called the Bibler Eldorado. It’s made of ToddTex and I’ve never noticed a sulfur smell.

This thread mentions the issue though:

I have owned Bibler tents for over 30 years. Never had such a problem with any.

Cool. I appreciate the info. I'm getting the feeling BD is just kind of blowing smoke to attempt to get me to drop it. The seam sealer started sloughing off and the smell is gnarly. I brought up the idea that it smells like the fabric is degrading and they just said it's a "normal" smell. BD really seems to love buying great brands and trashing the QC for the product.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
