Best sub-5.10 area at RRG

Going to be there in early November and just trying to get the lay of the land. The sheer size of The Red doesn't really help me narrow it down for the less experienced in our group, and the trad dad in me doesn't want to push it on our first trip out.

Not an expert by any means (I've only been once). But if I had to go with that in mind, I'd go to Muir Valley and just pick routes not crags. Things there are not so far apart that it would unreasonable to do that, and there's plenty to work with.

Yeah Muir is where you want to be. A lot of stuff in that range, none of the crags are more than like 20 minutes apart. Some of the most civilized cragging you’ll ever do as well. Loaner stick clips, bathrooms, and the routes are all labeled.
