The standard approach has been via Cadcadel woods/whiskey snowmobile for a number of years, no one really takes the longer Mammoth pool road to get there. It looks like the approach description on MP is a bit of a confusing mess. I will fix it later this afternoon and make the approach instructions more clear

EDIT - I updated the "getting there" description. Hopefully that clears up any confusion regarding the best way to drive there

Hi all,snow still blocks the roads, down trees, Minarets Rd Closed. Maybe open today??? Some gates still closed! Snow level on the roads, 5500 feet, late June things should be opening up! Happy climbing Mike A.

Is Whisky Snowmobile Area/Cascadel road open? Or are any other areas accessible right now? Appreciate your updates, Mike!
