Post Awesome Sport Movies Here #2

While we're in 'commenting, not posting videos' mode, it's funny he talks about traversing far out right to get around the blank section but it's like...3 feet right of the bolt? I was picturing trad climb levels of traversing. Pretty funny the prior attempts didn't even try moving a couple feet right or left. |

Also thought that was weird, I actually went back in the video to figure out what the traverse was. Maybe that's sport brain vs. follow the natural features brain? He has some other good videos too: https://www.youtube.com/@TylerThompson-fo8dl/videos |

"I noticed at 8:25, the cut in the video before the first crux, where the blue draw isn't clipped, and then when he sticks the move it is clipped." I hate to break it to you, but 99% of "send" videos are cut up from multiple takes, usually while hangdogging. If you notice, there are multiple angles used in the video. Unless there's a whole team of cameramen (I don't think so, only one camerman is credited), that means that 2 or 3 different attempts were recorded and then stitched together. One of those takes might be from the send, but not all of them are, and it's possible none of the takes are actually from the send. I imagine on the actual send go he probably would've wanted to skip that clip, it seems hard and there's another right after. |

My only complaint is that Red Bull apparently couldn't be bothered to provide a caption/translation for the French parts, so you don't get to hear anything from his mother or Tribout if you don't speak French. |

This is a great little film about Edu Marin's bonkers "world's biggest 5.15 roof climb." Pretty impressive he spent several months/years living in Getu China to get it done. Great father-son story too. |
