Howdy. I am new to the area, recently moved here from Bozeman, MT. I am getting back into climbing after a long hiatus and am looking for climbing partners in the Truckee area. I dig sport, trad, alpine rock and ice; I have an abundance of gear for all of the above, a positive attitude, and I don’t screw around with belaying. I am getting back into rock and am new to the area (so claimed grades are unlikely to be real informative), but I lead 5.10 sport, 5.8 trad, and really enjoy long-ass approaches to suspect adventure climbs (from Montana, after all). I’ve followed ice up to WI5 for two years, and began to lead up to WI3 in Hyalite last season. I am just looking to get out and climb on the bonkers-good rock around here, hopefully get onto the seasonal ice. Long-term goals are the Grand and Evolution traverses, original route on the Rainbow Wall in Red Rocks, and the Cassin Ridge. Hell, I’d like to learn to aid climb.
I have a family (climbing kids and climbing partner), so I usually need a few days heads-up to go get rowdy. I can climb most any weekday after 2 pm, and weekends. Cheers.
